Threading is one of the earliest forms of hair removal. More than 6,000 years old, it is growing in popularity in the United States—and WE KNOW WHY!

This quick and precise form of hair removal is less painful and more accurate than waxing and less invasive than chemicals or laser hair removal. Even if you’re just looking for a respite from a world of tedious tweezing, it’s time to hop on board the threading train!

At Beauty and the Brow, we first prep the skin by cleansing it with an alcohol-free facial toner full of soothing ingredients like aloe vera, rose water, and witch hazel. This is a necessary step to keep any skin irritations or infections at bay. After cleansing the area, the anti-microbial thread is twisted and pulled along areas of unwanted hair acting like a mini lasso, lifting the hair directly from the root without the use of any chemicals or unnecessary tugging on delicate skin. Lastly, we apply nurturing Aloe Vera Gel, rich in antioxidants and minerals that will aid in the health of your skin and hair.

While the rate of regrowth is individual, clients typically get their eyebrows threaded every two to three weeks. Because the process removes singular hairs from their roots, the results can last just as long as waxing.

Similar to microblading and tinting, brow lamination was designed to give the illusion of fuller, more defined eyebrows. Where it differs from these two treatments, though, is that no pigment is added to your brows (though you can opt for an additional tint).

Instead, your hairs are coaxed into place to look fluffier and more defined, and have a slicked-up, shiny look. It's great for that feathery, model look that was previously possible only with genetics or soap brows. Results last up to 6 weeks.
